Dấu hiệu mèo bị tắc tiểu

Trong trạng thái bình thường, sau khi nước tiểu được tạo ra ở thận sẽ được dẫn ra ngoài qua ống dẫn niệu, bàng quang và ra ngoài. Hiện tượng tắc tiểu ở mèo đực xáy ra ở vị trí từ bàng quang đến dương vật của mèo. Khi nước tiểu không thoát được ra ngoài thì bàng quang sẽ chứa quá nhiều nước tiểu và bắt đầu gây ra các vấn đề về sức khỏe cho mèo. Mèo sẽ đau đớn, viêm bàng quang, và dẫn tới thận cũng bị ảnh hưởng và sinh bệnh. Thận có thể bị suy, cơ thể bị nhiễm độc ure và mèo có thể chết sau đó ít ngày.

1. Nguyên nhân tắc tiểu ở mèo đực

Mèo đực đã triệt sản dễ mắc tắc tiểu hơn vì chúng có đường niệu nhỏ hẹp hơn nên dễ gây ra vấn đề tắc tiểu. Mèo đực tắc tiểu có thể do một số nguyên nhân như: sỏi tiết niệu nhỏ, khối u, khối đông vón như khối tế báo, cục máu đông, chất nhấy, hoặc các hạt tinh thể khoáng có trong nước tiểu.

2. Triệu chứng của tắc tiểu ở mèo đực
Triệu chứng thường thấy nhất là mèo thường có biểu hiện khó chịu khi rặn tiểu, ra vào chậu cát nhiều lần nhưng tiểu bãi nhỏ hoặc không tiểu được. Mèo mệt mỏi, bỏ ăn, không hoạt bát, có thể nôn mửa và giảm nhịp tim, bụng căng cứng. Bệnh tiến triển nhanh và nhanh đến giai đoạn nguy hiểm đến tính mạng, cơ thể bị nhiễm độc ure, thận bị suy và mèo có thể chết sau đó.
3. Chẩn đoán

Bác sỹ thú y sẽ tiến hành chẩn đoán bệnh qua lâm sàng và các phương pháp cần thiết: Siêu âm, Xét nghiệm máu, X-quang.

 

4. Điều trị

Bác sĩ sẽ thông tiểu để loại bỏ nước tiểu ra khỏi cơ thể mèo, tiến hành làm các xét nghiệm cần thiết, truyền dịch và tiêm thuốc điều trị. Thường quá trình điêu trị sẽ mất một tuần. Bác sĩ sẽ điều trị đến khi mèo có thể đi tiểu được bình thường thì sẽ dừng và hướng dẫn bạn chăm sóc tại nhà.

5. Phòng ngừa tắc tiểu cho mèo đực

Mèo đực đã từng bị tắc tiểu rất dễ bị tái lại. Do đó việc chăm sóc sau điều trị là rất quan trọng.

Đưa thú cưng của bạn tái khám định kỳ 3 tháng/lần hoặc mang thú cưng qua tái khám nếu có bất cứ dấu hiệu bất thường nghi tắc tiểu.

Đặc biệt mèo nên được sử dụng các loại thức phẩm mềm, nhiều nước như thịt nấu chín, pate đóng gói hoặc hạt ăn kiêng dành riêng cho mèo bị các vấn đề về đường tiết niệu. Các loại thức ăn này thường được nghiên cứu rất kĩ lưỡng về các thành phần có trong thức ăn. Chúng giúp giảm hình thành các cặn, khoáng và thông thoáng đường tiết niệu.
